This kit offers an excellent simulation of how disease may be transmitted by the exchange of body fluids. In particular, this activity illustrates, by means of hands-on activities, how easily sexually transmitted diseases such as hepatitis B and the more serious AIDS can infect teenage populations. Students will be able to test results of their various exchanges to determine the contact that infected them or if they are perhaps the first case, or Patient Zero. Students will also explore the permeability and effectiveness of latex barriers in the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. Kit is designed to be used by three classes of 30 students working individually and in teams.
